Final Verdict
Our verdict on Close CRM: Close is the right CRM for a specific and common team: an inside sales group that spends most of its day dialing. The built-in power dialer, call recording and unified inbox remove both tab-switching and a separate telephony bill, and the list-building tools are genuinely fast. Support is also consistently praised. The price is the barrier. At $49 per user and up, Close costs several times more than Pipedrive per seat, there is no free tier, and it makes no attempt at marketing or service. If your reps do not live on the phone, that premium buys you very little. But for outbound teams where call volume drives revenue, Close is the most focused tool in the category and the one most likely to raise reps output. Our verdict on Salesforce: Salesforce is the right CRM when your sales organization is large and complex enough to justify the setup effort and cost - and the wrong one when it is not. Its customization, ecosystem and AI depth have no real substitute once a 50-plus person team needs custom objects and territory management. Smaller teams should resist the name-brand pull: a five-person pipeline does not need a certified admin, and the total cost of ownership far exceeds the headline price. Choose Salesforce when complexity is the actual requirement, not when it is simply the default assumption.
